SPORTS MINISTRY
Pastor Shannon was born and raised in Greensboro N.C. He attended the Greensboro public schools there and after graduating in 1991 he attended North Carolina Central University in Durham North Carolina where he studied criminal justice and music education.
Pastor Shannon felt led to move away from Greensboro to the city of Houston Texas. In the year 2001 he made the move to the city of Houston and began to assist ministries and churches in the city with his ability to lead and arrange music. He always believed in helping others and in 2005 he started a ministry called "Connect Ministries “which was an outreach ministry that inspired and encouraged people in his community. There was a major impact in the community that year and several were led to Christ and many physical needs were met. After a few years of connecting in the community he felt led to plant a church and he began to pray and seek God for direction. God opened the door in 2012 and Pastor Shannon started Encouragers Church International in Huffman TX. He also simultaneously taught a Bible Study in Pearland TX. every Wednesday night. After three years of faithful dedication Pastor Shannon merged his congregation with the Abiding Faith Church congregation and became the senior pastor of that ministry in January 2016.
Pastor Shannon is married to the lovely Lady Shanel Frazier. They were married on September 10, 2005, they have 2 sons Seth Urell Frazier and Josiah Shane Frazier. Pastor Shannon and Lady Shanel believe in loving people right where they are. There is no limit to what God can do if you trust and believe.
